Qardon.org takes 0% from every donor contribution and 0% from every borrower disbursement. The trust is given whole. The borrower receives whole. Nothing in between can be confused with interest.
Operations are funded from investment yield on the pool — our investment committee manages a halal portfolio under independent religious-ethics oversight: halal stocks (AI-screened, human-approved), Sharia-board-approved digital assets, and direct equity investments in small businesses our members are building. The yield from these investments funds everything: technology, audit, legal, compliance, payment processing, Recovery payouts.
If yield in any period is insufficient to cover operations, qardon.org draws on charitable contributions from Fotoh, Inc. (our for-profit affiliate that builds the platform) under arm's-length, properly-documented nonprofit-recipient rules. We do not charge transactional fees on the pool to fill the gap.
Every quarter, our financials are audited and published on the transparency page. The community sees the math.
Qardon.org doesn't only run the lending pool. As a 501(c)(3) charitable mission, we fund the development of software the community needs and we gift it free to the institutions and people that serve the community.
