How it works

Three steps. One community.

Members give first. Members borrow when they need to. The pool sustains itself.

1

Join

Agree to the principle: I will contribute to the pool, and I may borrow from it when I need to. Any amount qualifies — even $10 a month makes you a founding member.

2

Give

Contribute monthly or whenever you can. Your money enters the pool whole and stays there — invested halal, lent at zero interest, cycling between families.

3

Borrow when needed

When life calls for an interest-free loan, apply. Members qualify based on standard creditworthiness — no story required, no humiliation. When calamity strikes, the community catches you.

The group-funding principle

Together we lend without interest. Together we receive when we need.

Qardon is not one-way charity. It is a community where every member commits to giving — and every member can borrow when life calls for it. The pool is sustained by mutual contribution. This is the remedy for the interest-based system.

Why this works

The loan that revolves.

A one-time gift is given once and consumed once. An interest-free loan to your community is different. It lends, it repays, and it lends again. The same dollar that helped one family this year helps the next family next year, and the family after that, and so on — without interest, without compounding debt, without anyone paying tribute to a lender for the privilege of borrowing.

You see your contribution, on your own dashboard, every family it has helped, every cycle it has completed. The principal is preserved. The good keeps moving.

That is what makes a community lending pool radically different from a charity that ends with one act.

How we operate

How our operations are funded.

Qardon.org is the registrar — it keeps the record of what every member has given, and moves money only on the member's own instruction. It never holds your money and never takes a cut of it. Your money stays in your own account, in your own name.

  • 0% on what you give. What you commit goes in whole. Nothing is skimmed off the top.
  • 0% on what a borrower receives. An approved borrower receives the full amount. Nothing in between can resemble interest.
  • No monthly fee to give. You are never charged a subscription for giving.

The member's money is invested halal in their own name: AI-screened halal stocks (every trade human-approved), digital assets approved in writing by our religious-ethics oversight board, and small-business profit-share partnerships our members are building. The principal is preserved. Only the yield — the returns the investment earns — is ever touched.

Operations run on a cost-recovery basis. qardon.org's real running costs are recovered from the yield first — actual cost, not a fixed percentage. Whatever yield is left over funds Recovery and grows the member's own position. There is no fixed commission and no profit target: the platform recovers what it costs to run, and everything beyond that serves the community — recovering people from calamity, helping members become financially independent, and caring for the elderly. The numbers are audited and published every month, so anyone can check the math.

Every quarter, our financials are audited and published on the transparency page. The community sees the math.

The flywheel

What Fotoh extends free to the community.

qardon.org is the registrar that makes interest-free giving and lending work — it never holds the money or runs a pool. Beyond the registry, Fotoh, Inc. — the company behind qardon.org — funds the software the community needs and gifts it free to the institutions and people who serve the community.
